CICLO is an Erasmus+ KA2 project designed to enhance the circular economy skills of the EU workforce. It aims to upgrade and multiply opportunities for up-skilling and re-skilling long-term unemployed and low-skilled workers. Through leveraging innovative vocational education and training (VET) tools and pedagogies, the project focuses on skills acquisition, assessment, recognition, and validation methods in the field of the evolving circular economy.
CICLO envisions the development of an interactive, needs-oriented online labour market ecosystem and skills mapping platform. This platform provides a comprehensive training package that equips both employed and unemployed individuals with essential circular economy skills related to recycling management, reuse and remanufacturing opportunities, and servitisation (services instead of products). The project covers key principles of the circular economy, benefits and challenges, and practical applications in sustainability.
The training materials and modules developed by CICLO include concepts in material reuse, remanufacturing, and sustainability practices. These resources aim to ensure that participants are well-prepared for the transition towards a greener economy and can effectively apply their new skills in various professional contexts.
