The Digital Literacy in Europe (DiLitE) project aims to empower adults with low-level literacy skills by enhancing their digital competence, thereby improving their social and civic participation. Funded by the Erasmus+ KA2 programme, the project focuses on up-skilling practitioners across various levels, including volunteers, mentors, classroom assistants, and teachers. DiLitE provides a comprehensive set of resources, including a Methodological eBook, a flexible curriculum for adult educators, a Practice Toolkit, and an e-learning platform.
The project addresses the growing need for digital literacy in the modern technological era, emphasising the ability to understand and use digitised information effectively. In enhancing digital competence, DiLitE supports lifelong learning and helps bridge the gap between traditional literacy practices and the digital skills required in today's society. This project ultimately aims to create sustainable and inclusive communities by equipping individuals with the skills needed to navigate the digital world confidently.
