ENGAGE Programme

SUPPORTING AND EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE WITH INFORMATION AND EDUCATION WHILE DEVELOPING SKILLS TO PROMOTE MENTAL HEALTH

The Engage Programme, launched in 2018, was developed due to an increasing need for support for young people falling out of education in County Meath. Tusla joined forces Meath Partnership in developing a tailored support service for young people in the County. The Engage Programme offers support to young people, and their families,  aged between of 15-17 that have disengaged from mainstream education or are at risk of doing so. Support is provided through weekly, hourly sessions lasting approximately 1 hour. One ot one sessions can be held at home, at the Meath Partnership offices in Kells or Navan, via Zoom (or other online video calling facilities, in addtion to libraries and other public spaces.

      • CV preparation  
      • Workshops on Anxiety in schools   

Engage works closely with other support services in County Meath including:

      • Tusla Child and Family services,
      • Education Welfare Officers
      • JLOs, National Learning Network
      • Education Board,
      • Springboard
      • Local Resource Centres
      • Addiction Services

The Engage Programme also works in tandem with the Meath Wellness Hub, offering therapeutic services to adults through one to one sessions and group work in WRAP.
